Light bulb wattage?

Hi my husband is away for a few weeks and my light bulb has gone out. I have never had to change a light bulb in my life, instead of paying someonw £50 to change it for me can you tell me if light bulbs come in different watts?

Hi Sam, Changing a light bulb is really easy but I can see how daunting it can be if you've never had to do it. Light bulbs come in all shapes and watts. The best thing to do is to take the light bulb with you to  the local DIY shop. On the light bulb rim it usually states the wattage of the bulb. I hope this helps.
